I'm Macarena Rubio, a director born in Buenos Aires in 1996.

I studied Film Direction at Universidad del Cine. I construct rich worlds with striking art direction and high-quality craft — inspired by some of cinema's greatest, I fuse narrative, lighting, styling and camera language to capture an audience's imagination.

My versatility as a director spans commercials, music videos, short films and photography, all across diverse genres. Whilst experimenting with theatre, art and photography in my teens, I became native to the beauty and frustration of creativity. I now harness its power to tell stories with heart — or at least, that's the plan.
